about

Receiving their BA in Theater from Indiana State University, Tim concentrated in acting and playwriting while taking part in a multitude of off-stage jobs including directing; technical work; costume design & construction; wardrobe head; master electrician; lighting design; administration; and more.

Mentored by Dr. Arthur Feinsod (Coming to See Aunt Sophie, Table 17, Between the Dams) Tim took extensive classes on playwriting and was a Teaching Assistant for the Intro to Playwriting class. During this period they cultivated an early collection of plays ranging from Shakespearean and Greco-Roman adaptations to a string of original new work highlighting their contemporary absurdist narrative voice. Under Feinsod's tutelage, Tim entered new play development where they oversaw the workshopping process for dozens of new playwrights in the Wabash Valley.

Tim's professional journey has taken them to both coasts and a vibrant career in the burgeoning Indianapolis theatre scene. Tim first began working with Mojo Theatre, where he provided the lighting design for the World Premiere of Wolf in the Mission. Later relocating to New York, they worked with Gateway Theatre for 3 years. Since returning to Indianapolis, Tim has been named the resident Master Electrician of Phoenix Theatre Indianapolis as well as the resident lighting designer of Monument Theatre Company. They have also designed for Actors Theatre of Indiana, American Lives Theatre, Fonseca Theatre Company, and Theatre Unchained.

An additional passion and skillset is music. Tim was the lead vocalist of the experimental post-hardcore group Vector Ruse before joining the punk band Target Acquired as a guitarist and backup vocalist.

Tim is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
